Canon imagePROGRAF iPF Error Code 03130031-2F2E
Canon imagePROGRAF iPF Hardware Error 03130031-2F2E
Hardware error 03130031-2F2E means your Canon imagePROGRAF has experienced a roll shift timeout. It should be remedied by a simple power cycle (turn the printer off and back on after waiting a few seconds)
BEFORE POWERING DOWN, please make sure there are no paper jams. If a jam exists, remove it and return the carriage/print head(s) to the docked position on the right side of the printer. You will need to open the top cover/lid to see any jams.
How To Fix It
If rebooting the printer doesn't clear the error, and a jam is not the culprit, a sensor will likely be needed.
We discourage attempting any DIY repairs. Proper training, knowledge, and specialized tools are required and without them, severe injuries or death may occur (yours or the printer).
If you plan to fix it yourself, please begin disconnecting the power source and contact us to order genuine Canon parts.
Old Printers vs. New Computers
Before considering a repair, be mindful of the age of your printer. Legacy (old) printers may not have parts available and you'd be wise to take advice from Elsa the ice queen "let it go".
Some printers may not be compatible with new computers and operating systems, meaning your large format printer could be a laundry rack that looks like a bbq.
